Sleeper cars are more of a surprise, because they look like a normal car. However, when challenged to a race car bed can give you a run for their money. Ford Taurus SHO is by all means a sleeper, but it looks like a regular family sedan. Some people may think of the traditional Taurus as a car “boring” family, but the SHO is a luxury sedan with sporty performance advantage. You can compete on the same level as the Audi A6, Lexus GS350 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
SHO stands for Super High Output “and that’s what this car offers and more. The 2013 Taurus is equipped with a powerful 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine with 365 horsepower and 350 foot-pounds of torque, the same amount of energy than its predecessor. If you want even more performance you can buy a package that will appeal to those aspects of performance to a whole new level. Mileage is 31 mpg on the highway.
The grille has been redesigned and now features a mesh design. It is much more aggressive and sharp looking. SHO brakes have also been updated for more stopping power. Handling has been improved significantly with the inclusion of a torque vector control and electric power steering has also been added. Consumers have the option of a selection of twenty inches, painted wheels and side mirrors come in black. MyFordTouch is in place that will work with the Microsoft Sync system.
MyFordtouch allows the driver to listen to music, get accurate directions and make and receive phone calls using voice commands via Bluetooth. The cabin is dressed in a leather steering wheel and comfortable leather seats appointed. Official pricing for the 2013 version has not been announced yet, but the 2011 version is currently selling at around $ 25k-$ 37k depending on option packages selected. The SHO is perfect for the driver who lives who does not feel the need to flaunt their hot rod.
